SUMMER PUZZLE

Solution:

ഈ സമവാക്യങ്ങൾ പരിഹരിച്ചാൽ ഉത്തരം കിട്ടും.

x – y = 11
x – z = 6
y + p = 12
z + p = 17

The answer can be found by solving these equations. This can be done in many ways like trial and improvement, graphically, using algebra etc. One possibility is:
x – y = 11
x – z = 6
y + p = 12
z + p = 17

If we take the four numbers as a,b,c and d. Then we can rewrite the equations as:
a – b = 11 ; a – c = 6
c + d = 17 ; b + d = 12

We can’t solve this four set of equations directly as these are four coupled equations. So we take the value of ‘a’ as ‘x’. And now rewriting the above 4 equations we get,
x – b = 11 or b = x – 11
x – c = 6 or c = x – 6
(x-6) + d = 17 or d = 23 – x

So the values of a, b, c and d are summarised as: a = x ; b = x – 11 ; c = x – 6 ; d = 23 – x
So for any value of x, the system of equation holds true. Thus we can have infinite number of solutions.
